Zekk WIP by saith100 Zekk WIP by saith100
This is my first attempt at depicting Zekk from the Legacy of the Force series of Star Wars (he did appear in the New Jedi Order, and the Young Jedi knights before that). The completed version is supposed to appear on the second LOTF wall I'm doing with EnTaiho (see the first wall).

The inspiration for his appearance is Dave Seeley's interpretation for the recently canceled Blood Oath book (see artwork here). I tried to make him look younger because he looked a lot older than what he was supposed to be (31 or something...). I'm going to have him in black jedi robes, and I might do some changes to his face. So don't hesitate to tell me if anything is out of place.

I used the same techniques as my other SW work.

He looks a little like Val Kilmer.
I like this very much. A great depiction; I've been working on my own and this is going in the "inspiration" catalog.
Hope one days it's no longer IP. :)

Oh, my, my, my...and YUM!:clap: I'll chime in with :icondistantdream: here: I very much like where this is going! The demeanor seems to fit very well, IMHO--I like the features and that you kept his long hair loose (...again...YUM...); the plans for the robes sounds good, too. It's great to see some of the lesser-illustrated Jedi by your skilled hands, as well! Props!

I'll definitely be watching to see how this one comes along!

I have to say, stumbling upon this made my day. :) You're doing a fantastic job, and I'm glad you're making him look younger to fit his age. The details are really fantastic, and I can't wait to see the finished product.

Here are two quotes from his first appearance in The Lost Ones if you're interested:

"Suddenly, a figure dropped directly in front of her from the gargoyle statue overhead- a wiry youth with shoulder-length hair one shade lighter than black. He wore a broad grin on his narrow face, and his sparkling green eyes, wide with delight, showed a darker corona surrounding the emerald irises."

"Though the older boy had a slight build, he was tough as blaster-proof armor. Under the smudges of dirt and grime on his cheeks, she thought, he was probably rather nice-looking- but then she wasn't one to talk about smudges on the face, was she?"

Well HELLO HANDSOME! I very much like where this is going.

One thing though, for me there seems to be a slight disconnect between his face and his hair. Almost like it doesn't quite look like the colors belong together? It might be because his eyebrows seems to be a pretty warm shade of brown and his hair is a cooler black shade?

Never really be a fan of Zekk (from the moment we first saw him on The Lost Ones, I never liked him much). But I must admit that he is rather nice looking when you draw him like that ;)

But wouldn't a black robe hide the details on the end of his hairs?

Ahhh, Zekk. He was always the hottest of that group.
